Worship As Ministry

Here is a brilliant perspective on worship by Graham Cooke called” Why Worship is better than ministry.” I know this insight isn’t anything new, but I love the reminder and way Graham Cooke puts things. Worshippers are lovers of God. I have always said there is a difference between being led by a worship group, as opposed to BEING WORSHIP as a way of life – to love the Lord with praise and thanksgiving at all times is worship and our ministry.

Worship places us “behind the Veil” that was rent by Christ at Calvary. We can at any time enter into the holy of holies for fellowship with our heavenly Father. Here in His presence, we abide by the canopy of His glory, for “In Him we live, move and have our being” (Acts 17:28). It is the resurrection life; the more abundant life that Christ promised, “For God has raised us up with Christ Jesus to sit in heavenly places (Eph. 2:6).

I have witnessed in order to hold the ground we need worshipping warriors to possess it. Without occupying the land with the Lord’s presence, the enemy can easily retake it. The scripture tells us that the Holy One, our God inhabits the praises of His people (Ps. 22:3): “For you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light” (1 Peter 2:9),

In whom you are also built together (In His body as one) for a habitation of God through the Spirit (Eph. 2:22).

This is my prayer for our ministry and for New England – “Lord raise up a company of prophetic worshipping warriors with the heart of David.”

Then we shall see a Great Awakening as well as a gathering of Christians who desire to mobilize by the Lord who leads them “ AS ONE.” To be empowered, equipped and released for the work of ministry as laborers in the harvest and to impact our communities, cities, and Nation for Christ as we usher in the Kingdom on earth as in heaven.
